Solid Silver & Enamel Thimbles James Swann & Son 1981

I have encountered a vintage thimble made of sterling silver and guilloche enamel with British hallmarks and markings for Birmingham.
This was made to commemorate the wedding of Prince Charles (later King Charles III) and Lady Diana Spencer on Wednesday, 29 July 1981, at St Paul's Cathedral in London, United Kingdom.
The thimble is signed JS&S and bears the maker's mark of James Swann & Son on the inside of the crown. Although there is no indication of its size, the measurements are below.

The size is approximately 2.4cm H x 1.8cm diameter.

It has no holes or dents, and the rim is undamaged and round.

Maker:  James Swann & Son

Hallmarks: Birmingham mark,  letter "g"-1981

Total Weight: 7 grams
