Vintage Pilot Clip On Folding Sunglasses With Case Circa 1950's.

Here we have a fantastic pair of sunglasses, they open up and would clip on to an aviators glasses.

Research shows that these are the type that were RAF issue however there are no markings to indicate these were ever issued, I am guessing they are around 1950's vintage, make is unknown, they belonged to my Father who probably acquired them from a military store.

These fold down to a small form and could be stored in their uniform ready to open up for use. A great pair of sunglasses in excellent condition, the lenses are split into two shades presumably to allow for instrument reading, they have some lovely detail to the frame edges.

The widest points of these lens measure Approx 48mm across and Approx 43mm top to bottom, widest spread width is 120mm.
