Absolutely INCREDIBLE Vintage Indian cotton vest and full circle skirt set

My Mum collected FABULOUS Vintage Indian cotton pieces and just adored full circle cotton skirts so I am listing several this week

This one is rare and unique as it comes with its very smart matching reversible sleeveless vest too !

The most stunning lightweight slightly crinkly cotton skirt with a drawstring that can accommodate sizes XS to XL as it can draw in and out also making it perfect fit up high on you waist or lower on your hips

Note that the maximum waist lying flat is 46cm so roughly 36” around waist before drawing in the drawstring

Hemline max’s out at over easily 3 metres,in circumference ,making the full circle very wide indeed so the weight is through the lower part of skirt not bulky through the body , this is how proper traditional full skirts are made , very flattering through the waist and hips PERFECT for dancing!

I don’t believe this gorgeous 2 pc set was ever worn , it is immaculate and so very chic , it vibes Maison Hotel bohemian glamour , very 70’s Marrakech YSL inspired , twirling and dancing with gypsy skirts swirling very very glamorous lovely for dancing in as the cotton is light and soft and falls beautifully!

The beautiful rich cream background colour is covered in wood block prints of large and stunning bunches of flowers,possibly poppies, reds with olive green stems and leaves

There is a lovely contrasting stripe trim at the hemline and waistline and a mint green stripe on the reverse side of hemline that you can’t see but looks beautiful when swishing, just one of the many gorgeous details this exquisite piece brings !

The workmanship and quality is of the highest possible value and these 2 pieces are finished by hand with amazing attention to detail true couture like styling

The waistline drawstring is carefully trimmed in the contrasting stripe with a small button

The lovely little vest is reversible and has subtle vertical quilting

The reverse side is pretty minty green & white stripes with a placement print of the poppy floral motif that covers the skirt and the button side of the vest

I believe this set cost an absolute fortune somewhere around $400 some 20 years ago !!

As my dear Mum kept everything with great care this set is just like new

Obviously this set looks as fabulous worn together as they would as separates ! The vest would be fabulous over a chic blouse and some high waisted flares or shorts very Parisian boho hippie chic

I have popped in pictures of the other 2 exactly the same skirts I have also listed they do not have matching vests but are just as fabulous and chic and are the exact same one size drawstring style fitting a 6 ( my Mum was tiny and tall , a 6-8 so these are just as good on a tiny waist) to a 16 as the waist is quite wide as are the hips in this beautifully flattering style so please ask me if you need measurements

Timeless classic vintage treasures this set would be an incredible addition to any boho wardrobe

This outfit is original and authentic and unlike anything you will ever find in todays fast fashion , this is true quiet luxury and elegance bohemian style

A true vintage masterpiece this set would look as fabulous with bare feet as it dies with killer heels or tan boots

Throw it over a bikini and Birkenstocks or a bodysuit and heels and it just works !
