This outstanding architectural necklace was designed by Los Ballesteros during the golden age of Taxco silver jewelry.  It is formed with flaring three dimensional rectangular beads with raised vertical ribs to the centers.  This sleek and exquisite piece, composed entirety of fine 970 silver and made by the internationally renowned master silversmith house, boasts timeless design, exquisite workmanship, and, thanks to the tapering beads, is very comfortable to wear.

Details:  The necklace has a wearable length of 16"; the longest rectangular link has a length of 1 5/8".  The weight is quite heavy at 228.7 grams of pure fine 970 silver.  970 silver has a higher silver content than sterling silver, a whiter hue, and is more resistant to tarnish.

Hallmarks present and clear - marked MM34 [the hallmark for the studio of Los Ballesteros] Taxco 970 Mexico, on the clasp, and with their iconic stylized "B"  Taxco 970 Mexico on the underside of the largest rectangular bead.

This masterpiece necklace, circa late 1950s, is in excellent vintage condition.
