Dynamics Tune Tester

This is 1940's - 1950's 
Jackson Model 648A dynamic plate conductance tube tester

This tube tester was made by The Jackson Electrical Instrument Co. of Dayton, Ohio

 This is a portable instrument housed in a wooden box covered with a now-tattered covering.

The box measures 16.5 inches wide, 13.5 inches deep and 6 inches high with the top closed

It is powered by regular household current with voltage ranging from 100 to 125 volts

The tester can test most 4, 5, 6, 7, octal 8, loctal 8, Noval, 9, miniature 7, and sub-miniature 7 and 8 pin tubes of the 1930's era and later

A roller tube chart list of tubes it can test is built in to the lower portion of the front panel

The operating instructions can be seen inside the lid in the photo

Powers on and meter needle moves
