This guitar is setup and ready to play. It sounds and plays great. It came to us directly from Guild as B stock because it has some discolored finish on the edge of the fretboard, as shown. It has no other issues, includes a 90 day factory warranty and is not marked as B stock. Anything else seen in the photos are reflections. The action is 3/32" or lower at the 12th fret, the truss rod is active, the bridge is tight and the fret ends are smooth. We are an authorized Guild warranty service center and a Guild dealer. The guitar shown is the guitar shipped in factory box and gig bag.
The F-1512 combines two of Guild’s most iconic specialties: twelve string and jumbo guitars. With their large, rounded bodies, jumbo acoustic guitars have been Guild’s forte since 1954; combining this shape with the ever-popular 12-string construction results in a full-toned, impressively voiced acoustic instrument. Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides, the F-1512 also features a Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle and mother-of-pearl rosette. This model also has a 1 7/8” nut width on a vintage shaped Guild neck, iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s Guilds, period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard and Guild’s new premium acoustic gig bag.
The Westerly Collection pays homage to an important period in Guild’s early history, when Guild outgrew the beloved Hoboken, New Jersey factory, and moved production to Westerly, Rhode Island in 1967. Finding a home in a former furniture manufacturing building, Guild took advantage of the additional space the new location had to offer, and improved upon the production layout left behind in Hoboken. Guild flourished. It was not long before the Westerly factory became renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and the introduction of many beloved Guild acoustics.
