 This headset has minor marks or scratches, mostly from shipping or handling errors. Machining is all perfect, bearings are perfect, cosmetic issue only. Usually this can be hidden by placing the marks in back or on the bottom. I have done my best to show the marks in question. No returns on these please. I do have some other colors, just ask.

Traditional  style Vintage Schwinn Conversion Headset, Use Your 1 1/8" Fork With 1" Head tube Frame. This will also fit old school BMX frames but please measure to confirm the 32.7mm inside diameter head tube. For threadless forks, and  external cup frames.

 This finish is a little more matte than my normal silver headsets. They do have slight marks from shipping or handling, which do show in the pictures.

 Installation of this headset requires some experience and technical skills. Please do not purchase if you are not an experienced bicycle mechanic. Measure your frame or old headset first, or have your bike shop measure for you. 

  This is a conversion headset for vintage Schwinn frames made from 1950 to 1980. It is machined to fit what is known as a 1" steer tube, actual machined diameter of the headset is 32.7 mm, or 1.287". This will allow a normal press fit, and matches the original size Schwinn steel cup dimensions. Perfect for your Klunker project!

 This will NOT fit modern road bikes with a 30.2mm head tube. Again, please measure first!

 Installation requires a headset press.  There are no returns for parts which have been installed.
