The free-standing bookshelf is made of high-quality solid light golden oak wood and has a beautiful golden oak colour.

With six of these bookshelves available all were installed in a large country house in a private library and were hand made for the owner of the stately house so these antique shelves are all original pieces not generic , you can create an impressive display of your book collection or use them to showcase decorative items. The item is of UK origin & an original antique item made in the mid 1920's by a English craftsman for an Essex stately home all six pieces were installed in the drawing room which made up a small library that at the time had a very modern art deco theme other pieces from the library including books lamps and screens are available on other listings

These will add character to any room. The weight of the item is 40 lbs and it measures 115cm in length and 34 inches in width. The shelves are all strong solid with some minor marks to wood that can be polished out these would be exceptional shelving that will last at least another 100 years the art deco details are beautiful geometric lines and the shelves art stunning and very impressive.
