Original vintage travel poster for Australia by Qantas Australia's Overseas Airline in association with BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) and TEAL (Tasman Empire Airways Limited) featuring a colorful aboriginal art style design by Harry Rogers (1929-2012) of a kangaroo carrying a baby roo in its pouch with a stylized plane flying through the sky.


Australian-born Rogers studied art in Sydney before moving to California to study animation at UCLA. Upon returning to Australia, Roger’s primary client was Qantas for whom he designed a number of different posters from the 1950’s to 1970’s. This print is from the first edition of the series of Qantas posters, showing the silhouette of the Super Constellation airliner which was used by the airline from 1954 to 1963.


Print measures approximately 27” x 21” framed with visible art 19” x 14”. Has been professionally framed and colors are strong and vibrant. Excellent condition.
