It features two-color, red & black ink stamped sidewall graphic iconography, with nailed corners, a wood plank floor, all wood construction & nailed tin reinforcing corner edge, stacking strips. It hasn't been previously lacquered & still has its original, naturally aged, dry, matte wood finish with aged wood color & old wood patina. The two-color, red & black ink stamping is all original & hasn't been enhanced or 'in-painted.' The typography is clear & crisp & not only appears on both the exterior long & short sidewalls but also on the interior sidewalls. The wood box crate hasn't been dusted or rinsed with cold water. There may be, as a result, some surface dust still lingering on its finish. We haven't touched it, hoping the buyer would see how completely original, authentic & untouched it still is. Very scarce. From the once hard-scrabble neighborhoods of Somerville, MA & East Hartford, CT comes this blast from New England's once noted & illustrious carbonated & soda bottling past. Great.]
