Overview:  This is a listing for a Mercedes OEM 2007-2009 W211 lower / bottom driver seat cushion assembly.  This includes the leather cover, the cushion, and the metal frame, but NOT the storage compartment at the front of the unit.  The cushion is black  / charcoal.  The sides of the cushion are a solid leather material, while the inner three panels are the black perforated leather material. This will match 2007 to 2009 W211 models only, but may fit 2005 and 2006 without matching the seat leather pattern.  There are no additional pieces of hardware sold with the seat such as nuts, bolts, clips, etc., only what's in the photos.

Cleaning:  The cushion and frame have been cleaned nearly thoroughly.  The cushion has been wiped down, then the top, bottom and sides a light steaming applied from a hand steamer.  Fabric panels were cleaned with Woolite and vacuumed. The leather was then cleaned with Chemical Brothers Leather Cleaner which is the most effective cleaner that I have found.  The surface was wet wiped several times to remove all the cleaner and dirt.  After drying, it was easier to see the true condition of the leather. There were several cracks in the leather, and two other issues which I will describe later.  But overall the condition is much better than the other 20 plus driver seats I have seen.  The color of the leather was very good and consistent after the cleaning.  After the cleaning, I treated the leather with a moisturizer, Chemical Brothers Leather Conditioner, which darkened the color of the finish.  In my opinion, the W211 seats I have seen have been dry.  The color of this moisturized seat cushion will not likely match the color of the leather seats of the receiving car, if that car's seats are bone dry.

Condition:  Despite the flaws which I will describe, the seat is still not a new seat, 17 years old at this point, but is the best I have found in the dozens of W211's I have seen.  In my opinion, the surface of the W211's leather, and by surface I mean the paint over the leather, is different than on the S-class W220 and W221.  It seems thicker and more brittle.  The seats wear differently than what I see on the similar years of S-class seats.
Issues I found:
1)  The first issue with this cushion is some cracking, maybe 3 or 4 cracks on the right side bolster in the middle.  About 1" to 2" of area in the solid leather.  These are cracks in the surface, not splits in the underlying leather.  Please see photos #21 and #22
2) The second flaw is some cracks in the 3rd perforated panel, like someone with a pen in their right rear pocket sat and damaged the surface.  The leather below seems unharmed.  Please see photo #20.
3) The third issue is the surface finish has pulled away by a few millimeters in the middle of the seat, between the two perforated panels.  The stitching has held, the panels are still together.  I brushed on a matching black leather paint then a leather clear coat to bring the color consistency back.  It wasn't really necessary, but I think it looks better now.  The other option would have been to pinch the panels closer together and re-sewed, but that may have caused more issues than just painting it.  Please see photo.  The fourth issue was some slight wear in the lower front area of the seat where the left bolster and center perforated panel come together, about where the drivers left upper thigh rests.  It was touched up with black leather paint and leather clear coat.  Please see photo #23.
The bottom metal frame has some scratches, but these are not visible when installed.  All the structure of the seat seems good.  The plastic structure on the left side of the seat cushion which carries the leather down towards the floor (the "long" side of the 4 sides) is also intact.  (This cushion side panel is the main difference between driver and passenger seat cushions.  They are not interchangeable on the W211).

UPDATE 6/11/24:  I have looked over 55 different W211 cars.  I have not yet found any other driver seat cushions, in any color, worth selling besides this current seat cushion.  It's usually possible after 55 cars to find a certain part in almost perfect condition, but not so far with the W211 driver's seats.  I have no second seat to sell at this point.  I am lowering the price by $20 today.

Photography:  Photos are taken in direct sunlight.  The camera is a professional Nikon with a prime lens.  I have tried to take the most accurate and descriptive photos of any car parts seller on eBay.  If you see any other imperfections I haven't mentioned, please ask me.  In some of the photos, the seat cushion may appear dark grey.  This is due to the camera using a longer exposure than in other photos.  Be assured, this seat is very black.

Packing:  I have made custom packing for this seat.  The seat cushion is lifted on a pedestal which raises it from the bottom of the box.  And the side with the plastic and leather downward extension is reinforced, the plastic is held away from the side and bottom of the box.  This is to help protect the plastic side panel during shipping.

Returns:  30 day returns.  Cushion MUST be returned in the original condition AND in the original box / packaging.  The custom packaging is time consuming to make and is designed to protect the part during shipment.  I allow returns but cannot reimburse any labor, so please be sure of your part before you order. Buyer pays return shipping.  Any questions are welcome.

Shipping:  FedEx Ground via the eBay Shipping Program.  Rate and delivery time will depend on distance.  Item is in box and ready to ship.  Will ship same day if possible.  Ships only to address of eBay account.
