All the keys strike and are working but the unit does need some light calibrating of the keys. The unit does have some wear from age and use. Purchase includes the typewriter with the case and one installed used ribbon. We cannot guarantee the lifespan of the ribbon. The case and the typewriter do have a musty smell.
