A very nice pair of Carl Zeiss Jena 6x30 WWII Dienstglas German Army Graticule lens Binoculars with original leather strap.

Carrying a waffenant stamp to the front arms with German Eagle and WaA202 number denoting Heer (army) issue.(obscured in pictures)
Serial number places manufacture date of 1937/38.
6x30 magnification with H/6400 range finding graticule to the right lens marked from 0 to 40 in both directions from central.

Smooth focusing action to both eyepieces and central pivot which is a testament to the high quality of Carl Zeiss. Interestingly at just 380g they are less than half the weight of the equivalent British issued Bino Prism No2's that I am also selling in a separate listing.
Intact eye cups and nice clear lettering, some minor paint loss here and there as you would expect from use in the field, but generally in very nice condition with no dents or scuffs.
The leather neck strap remains soft and pliable.
The lenses are externally clean and not scratched, internally the optics have a degree of dirt and would probably benefit from a clean, but the view remains largely sharp and clear as I have attempted to capture in the photos (which is very difficult to achieve!), though these are taken through a window and on a rather dull day.

All in all a good honest and original pair of genuine WWII Wehrmacht binoculars that were manufactured during the build up of German militarisation, and most likely taken as a souvenir by a British Soldier at some point of the war, and would be a very nice addition to any collection.
