A very nice pair of WWII British military Bino Prism No.2 Mk.III 6x30 Graticule Binoculars dated 1944, in original 1937 pattern webbing case marked 1941, in very tidy and original condition.

Manufactured by Kershaw of Leeds, and bearing the broad arrow mark to left and right bodies, and with range finding graticule to the right lens, marked as being 1/2 degree apart. Date stamped 1944.
Brass end plates with Vulacanite covering to the main bodies, waterproofed seams.
Interestingly, they weigh in at a hefty 805g which makes them more than twice the weight of the equivalent Carl Zeiss glasses issued to the opposing team, (a pair of which I am also selling on a separate eBay listing) a British Soldier would certainly know he was carrying these!

In excellent original condition with minimal paint wear, clear white lettering and with smooth focusing eyepieces and central pivot. The left eye cup would appear to have been replaced at some point though the right side cup is original.
Externally the lenses are clean and scratch free, internally the optics are quite foggy, and while they remain useable they would benefit from a clean to return them to full clarity.
They retain their original webbing neck strap which is in excellent condition.

Complete with 1937 pattern webbing case marked M.E.Co. for Mills Equipment Company and date stamped 1941 with broad arrow mark. This case really is in exceptional condition, very clean and with intact stitching and Brass buckles, and complete with original Green fibre cushioning pad to the inside which is now rare to find.

An excellent addition to any collection.
