You are looking at a unique and desirable 1980's era Atlas DS2 model "Vibration isolating" desk stand which was a very modern / contemporary design at that time when Atlas introduced this model. It has a very wide platform with an aggressive design and built in shock mount to reduce unwanted feedback while you r mic was live. This DS2 comes with it's original 3 inch chrome riser, data sheet, Atlas catalog, plastic wrapping and original box in which to store everything. This is a very special find.
Pic # 4 shows this very model on the data sheet you'll be receiving as well as the rarer DS1 model and their basic characteristics. The data sheet is in excellent condition.
Pic # 5 shows the extra catalog sheet you'll also get.
You can mount any mic clip of choice as well as all screw on type microphone to the DS2 model stand.
The DS2 was a light weight metal design with a wide stance making this ideal for all microphones including the very top heavy models such as the E.V 664 model. Good for small, medium and large mics. The original black paint on this DS2 is superb showing virtually no wear and I don't think this stand was ever used. It came with it's original plastic wrapping around the items.
They just don't ever come this nice.
The DS2 is appx 5 1/2 inches deep X 4 1/2 inches wide X 4 inches tall with the chrome riser installed. It has 4 rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from scratching any surface it rests on. The built in shock mount works excellent and is supposed to reduce vibration.
The box is in excellent condition as well and a great original (hard to find) accessory.
Overall I would rate this mic stand a 9 +++ on a scale of 1 - 10 in the cosmetic department.
