SCARCE 'SPACE PATROL 3,' YOSHIYA KO, JAPAN, MID-20TH CENTURY, POST-WWII, VINTAGE JAPANESE BATTERY OPERATED COLOR LITHOGRAPHED ENAMEL TIN SPACE TOY, featuring CLEAR PLASTIC DOME, HOLLOW TIN ASTRONAUT, PAIR WIRE & WHITE POLYMER ANTENNAE, 4 RUBBER WHEELS, BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER, ROUND, ROTATING DIRECTIONAL WHEEL ASSEMBLY & COMPLETE, with NO SUBSTANTIAL or
NOTICEABLE LOSS or DAMAGE
[The clear plastic cabin dome has no cracks or loss & isn't cloudy or frosted over. There's a very slight, barely noticeable pinch of the tin's lower front flange surround, no doubt a result of a previous strike against a wall or other hard object. There's also a few very small & barely noticeable surface scuffs & abrasions. This was after all, a child's toy & this particular toy space vehicle would have to be considered by most collectors to still be in quite well-preserved overall vintage condition. It takes two batteries, not included with the space toy. Missing the tornado shaped metal wire antenna assembly, once attached to the small front metal lever in front of the clear domed cabin, to the immediate right on the body. This wire antenna assembly allowed for easier reach & power control by the young user. It's unfortunately not present but is the only loss associated with the toy. 65 to 70 years old and counting. Very cool, with lots of bells & whistles.]
