Up for sale are six Lovely Wallace Sterling Silver Grande Baroque Hollow Handle Dinner Knives that are 8 7/8" Long. Total weight is 1.16 lbs. (511.80 grams.)  These were wedding gifts to my in-laws, in August 1949.  I am currently selling other pieces of this set. The six knives have the following gram weights: 81.5, 88.8, 86.2, 83.6, 86.6 & 85.1 grams. The blades are marked: "Wallace Stainless," and the handles: "Sterling Silver." The hollow handle of a sterling silver dinner knife from 1949 is filled with Saureisen cement to hold the stainless steel blade firmly in place.

Hello bidder and watchers, I'm going to close down this listing and then relist it. I unscrewed the end hardward out of the handled of the one handle where the hardware looked like it was missing a piece. When I got it unscrewed, I could see that other side of the yoke or fork was broken off. So, unless a new fork is welded on, this handle will not be functional. sorry folks for not exploring this better before I llisted it.Paul
