Open-end connectors allow verification of conductor order before crimping. They can be inserted or withdrawn into the connector, ensuring that the twisted pairs are positioned as close to the pin contacts as possible and that the jacket is seated beyond the primary strain relief, ensuring a secure connection. When used with the Securiacm Crimping tool, these connectors enable conductors to be cut flush with the end face of the connector.


How does a pass-through connector function?

Pass-through connectors facilitate easy and swift connections by allowing wire pairs to be inserted through the front of the connector. This enables engineers to verify the correct wiring arrangement before crimping.


Here are the steps:

Step 1: Remove the outer layer of the cable and pass the 4 pairs through the connector, ensuring they pass the red line marker on the connector.

Step 2: Place the connector in a crimp tool and firmly press down.

Step 3: Optionally, add a boot for a more professional appearance.

The EZ-RJ45 CAT5E/CAT6 connectors are precisely engineered to accept solid or stranded CAT5e/CAT6 cable. Before crimping, ensure the color sequence is correct, then use an EZ crimping tool to both crimp and trim the cable in one simple operation.
