Here is the JP Editions Limited Edition of Flamsteed House which is situated at the top of a hill in Greenwich Park and is part of the Royal Greenwich Observatory.

Flamsteed House along with Meridian House is where the world's time begins: Greenwich Mean Time at the Prime Meridian of the World.

John Flamsteed was appointed as the first “Astronomer Royal” by King Charles in 1675 and later that same year laid the foundation stone for the Cristopher Wren designed Royal Greenwich Observatory.

This model was sculpted in 2006 with an intended edition size of 100. This never happened and significantly less models were actually cast and painted.

No original box or COA is available.

This JP Editions model has never been displayed. It is from original unsold stock that was never assigned an edition number.

The model dimensions are approximately 8.5” x 7. 75” x 5”

As shown in the last photo, the “Time Ball” is included as a separate item which can be mounted in a small opening in the left tower. At the observatory, the ball is normally in its lower position and beginning at 12:55 PM it is slowly raised until it reaches the top and then dropped to signify 1:00 PM.

The actual Prime Meridian is shown starting from the middle of the Meridian House door to across the courtyard providing an opportunity for visitors to have a foot in both Eastern and Western Hemispheres at the same Greenwich Mean Time!

Ships double boxed in a 12” cube weighing 7 pounds.
