The Musical Heritage Society licensed and issued most of the Erato catalogue and also drew on such catalogues as Amadeo, Angelicum, Arcophon, Boston, Christophorus Records, Da Camera, Expériences Anonymes, Hispavox, Iramac, and Library of Recorded Masterpieces. MHS recorded and issued many rare and obscure recordings that would have been lost to history if not for their intervention.
