After Maerten de Vos, Flemish / Italian Baroque, Old Master 1600's / 1700's Fine Antique Oil Painting

An interesting, fine oil on canvas depicting elaborately dressed men and women greeting within a classical setting.

The subject matter is not known but is likely to be of either Isaac Presenting Rebecca to Abraham after Maerten de Vos's 16th century original or,

perhaps the biblical Esther before Ahasuerus by Artemesia Gentileshi.  For further  research and investigation.

Beautifully painted and in good condition commensurate with great age.

Still with bright colour, overall the present work is a fine painting from the late baroque period.

The image dimensions are approximately: 15'' x 12''   (38cm x 31cm). The frame is correspondingly larger.

Housed in an good ornate gilt frame, ready to hang.
