A really well known and much loved MG Midget 1500 with thousands spent on it. List of completed works:

MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL

Fully reconditioned and upgraded engine approximately 2000 miles ago (single cam chain replaced with double) - doesn't overheat or erratic idle.
Thermostatic oil cooler fitted.
Full electronic ignition and fuel pump fitted.
Upgraded fuse board with relays fitted.
Brakes and rear seals upgraded.
Headlights upgraded to Halogen.
Suspension replaced (front and rear including kingpins) - upgraded with Polybushes.
Full hand made sports Maniflow exhaust and manifold system fitted and tuned through.
Carburettors now on trumpets for air intake to match exhaust.
New fuel tank (stainless).
Electronic distributor (Accuspark).
Voltmeter, Oil Pressure gauge and Smiths clock fitted.
There is an MG dealer in my village with a lot of work carried out there!

BODY

Solid sills, floor and boot pans (see video of underside).
Bodywork sorted (taking back to bare metal where required) including retro fit of earlier rear lights (new) and some modern upgrades (Land Rover reverse lights), antenna removal, etc. All painted in original Pageant Blue and mopped through (see images). Wing mirrors replaced with Demon Tweaks race mirrors.
New hood installed (screws and hood fixings replaced.
Stirling Moss stripes and numbers applied (can easily be removed).
Small items such as fuel caps, etc all replaced.
Bespoke stainless steel grill.

INTERIOR

MX5 seats installed and re-upholstered in red leatherette. Door cards also to match.
Dashboard removed, stripped back and printshop painted in gloss black paint.
Centre console created to house front speakers, stereo and new gauges - upholstered.
Clock lighting changed to LED.
Carpets replaced with new matching red carpets (gear gater too).
Bluetooth Pioneer stereo system with Hands Free and 4 speakers.
Bespoke gear knob made by Built By Basil from skateboards to match internal and external colour scheme (makes a real difference to shifting as a bi-product.

It does also come with:

A hard top - no work carried out
Tonneau cover - no improvement work
All original parts taken off during the work (sill trims, rear Stainless bumpers, etc).
Original rear lights and grill.

So, what is it like - sounds great and drives great. Cabin is a lovely place to be and with the MX5 seats, comfortable, adjustable and capable of taking longer people.

It remains an old MG, so it does require playing with occasionally in every way. The exterior looks incredible - I have a collection of Porsche cars and none of them get the same attention as this car. So why am I selling...arrival of an old Porsche and I am out of heated garage space (this car lives in a heated garage). For clarity, the doors could do with some aligning but I don't think they need it enough to fiddle any further!

Price is much below the cost to get it to this point and I will miss it when gone. If you want a highly original Midget, this is not the car for you - if you want a beautiful head turner with most of the big money now spent on it, it is definitely worth call.
