Vintage Japanese Wooden Drawer Storage Box

Wooden boxes are a common method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are widely used for many other traditional Japanese crafts including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc. 

This long, shallow drawer taken from a vintage desk or chest is a beautiful chocolate brown color with a clear finish showcasing the natural wood grain. It has simple metal hardware. This piece can also be used for general storage of trinkets, displays, or other crafts/projects.
