Budai
We are selling this well carved Chinese hardwood Budai figure. This seated figure of Budai or Hotei has silver inlay all over and he is posed in seated position with well detailed face. We believe the figure to be early 20th century republic period or late 19th century. The wood appears to be a dense rosewood like hongmu not zitan.
Condition: Some age related splitting to the figure
