Herbert ‘Mack’ Derick (1897-1982) was one of the earliest Vermont photographers to establish a commercial reputation in both still and motion photography. By the age of 21, he owned his own studio in Orleans, VT and in a short time was the guy for portrait and event photography in northeastern Vermont.
