With both pieces measuring 4" by 1 1/2", this listing is a pair of tickets to racing events held in New Jersey in the mid-1930's. As viewed in Scan #1, the ticket at the top bears the event date of Sunday, August 18th, 1935. This ticket offered entry to the A.A.A. sanctioned auto races held at Ho-Ho-Kus Park in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.  Known by several different names from the late-1800's onward to the mid-Twentieth Century, the Ho-Ho-Kus grounds were the site of numerous civic, athletic, and sporting events.

The undated ticket in the lower position of the scan is for the motor cycle races to be held at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. Dating from the heyday of motor cycle racing at Hinchliffe, this ticket most likely was issued sometime in the period from 1934 to 1939. From its opening in the early-1930's, Hinchliffe Stadium was the site of not only motor cycle races but also events such as stock car races, midget car races, semi-pro football games, boxing events, and concerts. But perhaps most notably, Hinchliffe Stadium was home to baseball teams from white, black, and Latin leagues,

Both tickets remain in very fine, undamaged condition. Whether it is a later stain or a coloration added at the time of printing, the right end of the Paterson ticket has a large area of red-tinting. No creases or tears are present of either ticket.  As seen in Scan #2, the reverse sides are unmarked and undamaged.
