Sputnik Satellite

For your serious consideration offered from my private collection: an extraordinary Lucite and Catalin with chromed metal accents spherical atomic weatherstation. This original Sputnik Satellite has been manufactured in Germany in the early 1960s to celebrate the launch from the Sputnik satellite into orbit. An ultra rare feature is the dual temperature scala in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit! The high quality Sputnik Satellite has a dish and antenna's all around it's globe, a round chromed base with black Catalin insert and has a design very typical for the Space Age/Modernist era. This Sputnik is one of the rarest examples with the very sought after satinblack instrument scales with glossy silver lettering. Features a transparent Lucite satelllite orb in which the incorporated instruments can be clearly seen; a Barometer ( measures in Torr/Millimeters hPa ), a Hygrometer ( measures in a % humidity ranging from 20% to 100% ) and a dual Thermometer ( measures in degrees Celcius+Fahrenheit ) and all the instruments are in fully functional condition. The satellite really stands out and is a real joy to look at and study.....very few have survived in this all original fully functional and flawless condition ( only some very minor signs of age which underline it's authenticity ).......your chance to own one! Just have a look at all the awesome intricate details and the exploded internal mechanisms....just amazing and a true icon in Modernist Design. Very few have survived in this all original highly collectible condition. I will ship Priority Insured registered Airmail with tracking number. The shipping company is solely liable for any lost or damaged packages.
