1.   This item is used and shows signs of minor wear and tear.

2.   There are a few characters on the LED display that do not work. This is why a brand-new replacement LED display module is included in the auction.

3.   Works in digital or analog mode.

4.   The battery holds a charge but will need to be replaced at some point.

5.   Due to the highly unscrupulous parts-swappers on eBay, every item is being sold on an “as-is” basis.

6.   This radio is equipped with a dual encryption secure module. One encryption algorithm is a Digital Encryption Standard-Output Feedback (DES-OFB) encryption module. The DES-OFB algorithm is government-level, AES block cipher digital encryption. The second encryption algorithm is a Digital Encryption Standard XL (DES-XL). Both encryption algorithms allow the user to program (load) a secure electronic “key” in to the radio so no one else can decipher what the users are communicating to each other.
