Book. Xenophontis De Cyri Expeditione. Editio Nova. Greek & Latin. Good. 1822.

"Xenophontis De Cyri Expeditione" or (according to Google translate) "Xenophon's Campaign of Cyrus". This is the Nova Editione / New edition which has been "Increased and Improved". "Cyri" appears to encompass parts of modern day Turkey, Israel, and Syria.

An interesting tome in that the blocks of Greek text have their Latin translation below, with accompanying notes in Latin below that, so direct comparisons between these two ancient languages can be made.

Facing the title page is a folded map of the area covered, interesting in itself as it shows the various lands / countries as they were at the time.

The front end-paper is inscribed with an early owner (1902).

The binding is strong.

The part-leather and marbled paper hardback cover has edge and corner bumps and general wear commensurate with age.

The end-papers, map and title pages are toned and spotted, but otherwise the pages are clean.

No bends, creases, tears or repairs noted.
