The Water Babies A Fairy Tale by Charles Kingsley Illus RARE Jordan, Marsh & Co.

This is a genuine antique book, literally a piece of history. If it were sentient, it could tell of over a hundred years full of lives it has touched and hands it has passed through. Every year, more of these irreplaceable treasures are lost-- to fires, floods, etc., or simple carelessness. It is my hope to rescue as many as possible and help them find homes where they will be cherished and passed on to future generations.

There is no date printed inside. The publisher was a department store founded in 1841, which existed in some form until 1996. You can faintly read, "The Editha Series" on the cover. I was able to find similar books printed in the 1880's and 1890's.

Previous owner's inscription inside. Occasional small tears. Foxing and spots. No odors. All photos depict the actual book listed; please examine them carefully. If you have any questions, please ask.
