Like with most internal fridge filters the technology is relatively simple in terms of filtration performance, basically removing chlorine, sediment, dissolved organics and their associated by-products via sintered carbon block technology. Both the original cartridge and this compatible work on the same principle, offering the same level of filtration performance. With any internally fitting compatible the real test of the engineering is the moulding, ensuring the components are reliably built and that the product will fit into the fridge as easily as the original.
