iven the piping on his jersey and the lack of team logo, it likely was taken in 1946 while Robinson was playing for the Montreal Royals of the International League before he made his historic MLB debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. Note his hat also does not feature a team logo. This particular card has no salutation and the 5/8 inch "MADE IN U.S.A." in the bottom right corner, dating it to Robinson's second season with the Dodgers in 1948.
