Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a 1970's era AKG model D330BT dynamic "hyper" cardioid microphone made in Austria with outstanding sound characteristics and easily on par with most great dynamic super cardioid microphones you could possibly think of. I would actually compare the sound to be on par with (or better than) an American made Shure SM58 or as good as an Electro voice RE16 microphone. If you have never heard one of these before...be prepared to be blown away by the warm smooth tone. The mic comes with the mic clip and cable shown.

This mic was called the "SM58 Killer" because it considered to be a superior sounding mic to the infamous American made Shure SM-58 at that time and this mic was used by the band ABBA when touring live back in the late 1970's.

Pic # 2 is from an old AKG catalog showing this model in a couple different variants. The D330BT had a few more built in adjustments then the less expensive D320B. The D330BT has the adjustable bass drop off switch with 3 selections to choose from and it works perfectly. There is another selection switch on the D330BT that has to do with some musical setting but I'm not sure exactly how that is used exactly? It's what made the D330BT a bit more expensive however as you could really fine tune the mic to your needs.

The AKG mics were almost always very high quality and known for their durability and superb sound. The D330BT was no exception and one of the finest dynamic cardioid mics offered by AKG.

As you can see there is no wear on the stock painted gold finish of this mic. It's free of any dents, scratches or pitting, fractures. The front screen is metal. There is no tarnish, odors or dents on the front screen. I didn't have to add a new inner pop filter as the original is in perfect condition. This mic comes with a bass roll off switch on the handle as seen in pic # 9. You can get more or less bass depending on your needs with the flick of a switch and there are 3 settings. This will really come in handy depending on the tone of your voice or if you are using an instrument with the mic.

The mic is uni-directional and is great at cancelling out any background noise. Again...a superb mic for any live performance and worth every penny.

The mic comes with an AKG mic clip that works very well for this mic and looks great. The clip grips the mic perfectly and really compliments the look of the mic. It will screw onto any desk or floor stand and has a wide range of tilt up or down.

The mic takes a standard XLR cable which is provided. It's 11 feet feet long. Soft, pliable and free of damage. It has two quality Switchcraft end connectors.

MICROPHONE STAND IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

Overall I would rate this mic a 9 + cosmetically speaking on a scale of 1 - 10. The real beauty of this mic is the sound it produces and I would recommend actually using this piece rather than for display. She's got plenty of life left in her.

If you demand the nicest working and looking D330BT out there...this is your mic.
