Introduced in the previous year, the new Susan B. Anthony Dollar coin was struck at all three
mint facilities for the 1980 Mint Set. Unlike the previous year, all three mint marks were
included within the annual Uncirculated Coin Set. This marked the highest number of coins per
set and also the first appearance of the “S” mint mark within the standard set since the 1974 Mint
Set.

Each 1980 Mint Set includes the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington
Quarter, Kennedy Half Dollar, and Susan B. Anthony Dollar. It contains two of each coin—one
struck at the Philadelphia Mint and the other at the Denver Mint. The 1980 Mint Set also
contains a third Susan B. Anthony Dollar bearing the “S” mint mark.

The six coins from the Philadelphia Mint are sealed in a pack with a blue border. The seven
remaining coins from the Denver and San Francisco Mints are sealed in a pack with a red border.

Each set comes in the OGP envelope printed with “U.S. MINT 1980 Uncirculated Coin.” All
envelopes have some yellowing due to age, varying from minimal to very dark. All coins are
sealed. One previous owner.
