This is a Quad 405 and Quad 405-2 Repair and update service 

The repair and update service includes the following:

Trouble shooting circuit boards replace damaged components with equivalent modern parts. 

Make amplifier operational and perform update service.

>All electrolytic capacitors will be replaced with high quality electrolytic capacitors.  

>Main power supply capacitors will be replaced with high quality electrolytic capacitors.

>All ceramic capacitors will be replaced with high quality film and mica capacitors

>The op amp ICs will be replaced with Burr Brown SoundPlus OPA134 op amp ICs with sockets.

>Decoupling capacitors added to op amp positive and negative supply lines

>Unit will be rewired on the transformer secondary side and to amplifier boards

>RCA jacks installed and new audio wires added

>Replace speaker connector with gold plated binding posts

>Replace power transistors with modern devices
