This is a Leitz-brand classic M-system case featuring three bayonet mounts holding lenses for immediate use.

It appears to be a 98860 Universal Carrying Case, but its interior does not match the catalogue pages I have seen.

Main box exterior dimensions are about 135mm deep, 165mm tall, 270mm wide.

To enjoy use of two of this case's bayonet mounts, your lenses must stick out no more than about 80mm from your M body when mounted, including lens cap.  Lenses of that size will ensure you minimize rubbing on the case interior.

The third lens can extend about 50mm, with cap, from the body, in order to fit into the shorter bay space without rubbing.

A fourth lens area is a vertical tube that can hold a 55mm diameter and 140mm tall lens including both caps.

My only Leica lens is a 50mm/1.5 Summarit that fits into the longer and shorter bays as well as the upright bay.
The last 2 photos show a homemade M bodycap found in this case, part of my late dad's collection, unused for about 50 years.

Note that the light colored area inside is not a sign of missing material, it it your filter storage area, holding five filters against a reflecting surface to allow you to pick the right filter in an instant.

All material is in working condition, the elastic hold-downs operate as expected, the bag tilts open for use, then surfaces mate properly when bag is closed again.  Case has not been tested in the field to confirm lenses are held safely.
Buyer may decide that the best use is simply to store your classic system in its matching case.

Happy collecting.
