Universal delay Warm-up timer for indirectly heated cathode RF amplifiers

3CX800, 3CX1500, GI7B, GS35B, and others indirectly heated cathode tubes can quickly suffer damage if not used at the correct temperature. This is why it is necessary to start them with a “warm-up timer” which prevents operation before the cathode reaches its operating temperature.

After switching “ON” a Red Led indicates that the amp is in “warm-up mode”, and if during this mode it is activated, then nothing happens, it remains in “Standby”. After about 2 minutes the Led turns Green, the amp then goes into “active mode”, it becomes operational, ready to give power to your Transceiver.

The printed circuit is of professional quality, made of double-sided epoxy glass, metalized holes and tinned force traces equipped with precision MOF resistors.

Supplied; assembled, tested, ready to use, with mounting hardware, and two-tone LED (red and green) with a high-quality mounting socket for front-of installation, making it suitable for a wide range of amplifiers.

No other parts are needed, just install and connect the wires. The schematic diagram, installation procedure, connection wiring, and component values are provided as PDF format by download.

This circuit is specially designed for a wide range of amplifiers, including homemade amplifiers.
