Non-mirror mode on Mac OS system

  • There is only mirror mode and non-mirror mode in settings. Therefore, you CANNOT have two external monitors show different displays, as the OS X system only allows two different displays, one on your laptop and the other on the external monitors.
  • Resolution: 1 or 2 HDMI-4k@30Hz; Dual HDMI and other ports-1920x1080@60Hz
  • Setting: About This Mac > Display > Layout > Mirror Displays
  • Note: If MAC OS needs to extend the display, you need to click "Display" in Preferences, select the arrangement, and then uncheck "Mirror Displays".

Improved laptop docking station with collage mode

  • This mode is only possible with Windows system. You can greatly expand your field of view by getting 2 continuous displays on 2 different monitors.
  • Resolution can reach: up to 3840x1080@60Hz (HDMI+HDMI) / 1920x1080@60Hz (HDMI+VGA)

To set up your laptop for collage mode:

Multi-display mode on Windows system

  • Only Windows systems support MST (Multi-Stream Transport) mode.
  • You can easily expand your laptop to three external monitors by connecting the HDMI/VGA ports.
  • Each monitor is limited to a maximum resolution of 1920x1080@60Hz when connecting a dual or triple monitor. To achieve 4k resolution, please use only one HDMI output at a time.
  • If you connect all HDMI and VGA ports at the same time, VGA and HDMI 2 monitors will show an identical display as the photo on the left.
  • Resolution: only 1 HDMI-4k@30Hz; Dual HDMI and other ports-1920x1080@60Hz

You should know before buying

Host Device -- Please check with your laptop manufacturer for the specifications of your laptop's USB-C port. This product can be used with USB 3.1 Gen1 [with DisplayPort function] or higher standard (Gen2 or Thunderbolt 3). Do not use a USB-A to USB-C adapter to connect as this will limit functionality.

100W Charging -- The power adapter is not included. Please use your laptop charger to connect the PD port. The hub draws 5W of power from the adapter. If you use 100W power adapter, the actual charging power should be 95W.

4K Display -- For the Windows system, the 4K screen is only displayed when a single HDMI port is connected, otherwise the image resolution is 1080P. However, for the Mac system, a 4K screen will be displayed when a single or dual HDMI port is connected. (PS: 1. If you use VGA port, due to VGA port limitation, the resolution will be limited to 1080p. 2. Only if your devices support 4K resolution, the video output will be 4K.)

About the card slots -- You can NOT use the SD and TF cards at the same time. For Windows system, no matter which card is inserted first, only TF card can be read; But for Mac system, only the first card inserted can be read.
