Cirith Ungol from California is considered one of the founders of doom metal. Its formation dates back to 71 years. They made their debut with Frost and Fire in '81. The mere fact that Celtic Frost took the band's name from the album title shows the importance of this album. Their second album, King of the Dead, was released in '84 and is still revered by many fans as a doom metal classic. After releasing two albums, One Foot in Hell '86 and Paradise Lost '91, the band broke up in '92. Ironically, as they ceased to operate, Lee Drian's Cathedral sparked a doom metal boom. As a result, Cirith Ungol gained cult status as the father of doom metal.

They were resurrected in 15 years. In 2020, he released his first new album in 29 years, Forever Black. The Cirith Ungol verse was exactly the same as it was in the 80s, and it surprised enthusiasts all over the world. And now, after a three-year hiatus, a new album "Dark Parade" will be released. Naturally, there could be no change in Cirith Ungol. This time, too, we will listen to heavy and epic doom metal. Tim Baker's vocals, which are too unique, are as good as ever.
