Frank Bello, bassist for the alternative rock band Helmet, is known for his dynamic, energetic staging and original bass style.
His signature model, the Frank Bello Signature Pro-Mod So-Cal Bass PJ IV, has a poplar body and a bolt-on maple neck. It has a built-in graphite reinforcement rod to protect the neck from environmental changes, and a heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel for easy neck adjustment. The neck edge is rolled off for outstanding playability, and the 12- to 16-inch compound-radius maple fingerboard with 20 jumbo frets provides comfortable fast play, chord strumming, and bending. make it possible. EMG(R) Frank Bello Signature PJ pickups feature a punchy, warm tone, offering a tight midrange and dynamic high end.
The controls are a simple layout with only a volume knob for the bridge/middle pickup. HiMass(TM) bridge, Graph Tech(R) TUSQ(R) XL nut, and open gear tuning machine improve tuning stability, sonic punch, and sustain.
This crowd-catching signature model features a Gloss Black finish, mirrored pickguard, black block fingerboard inlays, and chrome hardware.
