"Selling my 1965 Gottlieb Bank-A-Ball.

The game has all new rubbers. All new bulbs and dim lamp sockets replaced for new.
With an incredible animated BackGlass - Balls drop as you hit each corresponding target on the playfield.

Game has all 15 Back glass balls ( I replaced 4 that were missing when i acquired the game). Playfield has its original paint work, with signs of age, as is to be expected. Some planking on the yellow area above the 11 and in the blue above the pop bumpers. All very easily touched up and rectified. I decided to keep it in its original state. It has been cleaned and waxed to maintain the playfield.

Game plays with no faults and is set to free play. Cabinet has been overpainted, you can see the original paintwork in some areas.

All in all a great restoration program or to be kept as is an enjoyed as we have for some time now.

Bank-A-Ball is significant historically as it's the first pinball machine to use 'out lanes" the wire forms that return the ball to the flippers on either side.

Game is an early production version and therefore a significant collectors item.

"Early Production playfields have the return lane white arrows show the words "Lights Bumpers" in them. Also, the lower playfield shows the 8-ball as an actual illuminating insert.

Sometime during production, the words were moved to be below the arrows and the illuminating insert was removed, leaving the 8-ball painted on solid wood.

Interestingly it was the property of the US Navy and made its way to the UK. Possibly offloaded in dock.

Buyer assumes responsibility for collection  and transport - I can recommend a specialist courrier that drops anywhere in the UK for £125

Game is in Central London ( Barbican ) and can be viewed should you so wish.
