You are bidding on this stunning antique early Victorian gothic heart-shaped bevelled mirror overmantle in black & gold. I am reluctantly selling it, as it is the wrong period for our mid 18th century house, and I've decided to bring the room the mirror overmantle is currently in, back to its Georgian glory, so sadly the mirror has to go.

It is very large and measures as follows:
Height - 128 cm
Length at the widest middle point - 157cm
Length at the base - 153cm
Base width - 16.5cm

The centerpoint bevelled mirror measures at 79cm at its widest point and 71cm at its highest point. On its left and right there are two oval shaped smaller size symmetrically positioned bevelled mirrors.

The heart shape of the centerpoint mirror is truly beautiful and evokes memories of Victorian gothic set mystery novels. My husband often says that the mirror reminds him of the book "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell ", a rather mysterious and captivating alternative history set in 19th-century England around the time of the Napoleonic Wars.

Collection only from Dover, Kent.
