◆About this Product
This is a Thumb Ledge (also known as a Thumb Rest or Gas Pedal) that attaches to the Rail System of a handgun. Replace the Rail Guide of your SUREFIRE X300Ultra-A, X300Turbo-A, X300Vampire-A with this product to use. The Thumb Ledge prevents the muzzle from bouncing up, so you can expect quick aiming for your next shot.
Note that only SUREFIRE X300U-A, X300T-A, X300V-A users can use this product.

◆How to use
Remove the three screws of the Rail Guide on the support-hand side of the SUREFIRE X300U-A, X300T-A, X300V-A (opposite side of the dominant hand) and replace it with the Thumb Ledge.
When shooting, place the thumb of the support hand on the Thumb Ledge for grip.
The rail grooves on this product are designed to be slightly tight (oversized) to prevent rattling. If the fit is too tight and it is difficult to install or remove, file the groove slightly by yourself. When filing, check the groove little by little.

◆Why I developed it
Installing a Thumb Ledge on the support hand side of the GLOCK, opposite the dominant hand, is a very effective upgrade for reducing recoil.
The Thumb Ledge may not be a major performance part of the Glock, but it has the same, if not more, effect on muzzle stability and quick firing (faster aiming for the next shot) as the foregrip. You will feel a more pronounced effect than with the Thumb Ledge attached to the rifle’s handguard.
Like many users, I replaced almost all possible parts such as Guide Rod, Recoil Spring, Muzzle Device, etc. before I decided to install Thumb Ledge.
A quick Internet search of currently available Thumb Ledges reveals that some use the Rail System and others use Locking Block Pins. Some modify the frame to create a slight bump, and there are also machined custom frames, but using the Rail System is the easiest to install and remove.

I usually use a SUREFIRE X300Ultra-A Tactical Flashlight mounted on a rail. So I had to remove the X300U-A to install the aforementioned Thumb Ledge using the Rail System. Some well-designed products have an additional Picatinny Rail under the Thumb Ledge, but when I attach the X300U-A under the Thumb Ledge, it no longer fits in my favorite SAFARILAND Duty holster (6354 RDS, 6390 RDS).
I didn’t want to remove it in exchange for the Thumb Ledge because it affected my shooting balance in no small way with my previous regular X300U-A. Just a few millimeters of protrusion to put my thumb on would have solved the problem, but I didn’t dare to scrape the frame or glue the protrusion in place. I’d prefer an upgrade so that I can always return to the original shape. I also didn’t want to put my thumb on the X300U-A.
I wanted to find a way to meet all the requirements. After much deliberation, I succeeded in fulfilling all the requirements by replacing the attachment part of the X300U-A. If you are an X300U-A user like me and are considering Thumb Ledge, please try this product. You don’t even need a special holster. Fortunately, this product is less noticeable and works better than any off-the-shelf Thumb Ledge. It is also recommended for those who do not yet have anything mounted on the rail and are interested in a part that improves muzzle stability.
