This auction is for a 10.5" x 13" FORBES FIELD (circa 1960) PITTSBURGH PIRATES GOLD ALUMINUM PLATED PLAQUE autographed by some of the PITTSBURGH PIRATES GREATEST PLAYERS of ALL TIME.

This item has been signed by 17 NOTEWORTHY PIRATES players who FORMERLY PLAYED AT FORBES FIELD. Included are FOUR (4) MLB HALL OF FAMERS and numerous other PIRATES legends and personalities.

WILLIE STARGELL (HOF), RALPH KINER (HOF), BILLY HERMAN (HOF), BERT BLYLEVEN (HOF), MAURY WILLS, DON CLENDENON, VERN LAW, DICK GROAT, ELROY FACE, BOB FRIEND, WILMER (VINEGAR BEND) MIZELL, LUIS ARROYO, JESSE GONDER, BOBBY SHANTZ, ROCKY NELSON, FRANK THOMAS and DOC ELLIS.

WOW, what an AWESOME list of signatures, WHAT AWESOME HISTORY.

This item is unique as I took a FORBES FIELD parchment paper image and had it transferred to a thin gold colored aluminum plate and then mounted it to a wood plaque. 

IT IS THE ONLY ONE THAT EXISTS. This item is TRULY RARE.

The autographs look beautiful on this surface. The players LOVED signing it because it was an item that they hadn't been asked to sign before.

All autographs are GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC as I personally obtained each one. The first autograph was from VINEGAR BEND MIZELL on 1/20/90 at the Penta Hotel in NYC and the last was DOC ELLIS at the Travelodge Hotel at JFK Airport on 10/15/94. I keep records of every signature I have obtained. For authenticity purposes I have included copies of some of the promotional flyers from memorabilia shows that I attended to obtain many of these signatures.

The plaque and plate are in very good condition.

Signatures can be removed easily with nail polish remover if you ever need to do so. There is still a little room if you wish to continue adding autographs to this rare piece.
