How to Show Your Own Dog by Virginia Tuck Nichols, Copyright 1969 by T.F.H. Publications, Inc.  Hardcover book with colored picture front cover so no dust jacket needed.  From back cover of the book:
"Here is an all-inclusive accurate picture of dog handling.  Interestingly and informatively written it shows the reader how he can double the enjoyment he gets out of placing his dog in shows, by handling the dog himself.  How much more rewarding it is to know that you have been a part if making your dog a champion than merely to have been a spectator.  In How To Show Your Own Dog Mrs. Nichols covers the field step by step from the early training that a show animal should receive, down to the day by day, hour by hour procedure to be followed in all kinds of dog shows, big and small. There is even a chapter on equipment, another on what to do and what not to do when your're waiting for your turn to show, another on how to behave in the ring and with the judges.  One of the best known breeders and show ring personalities in the East, Virginia Tuck Nichols is eminently qualified to write a book on shows and handling."
Book is in excellent condition except there is a card pocket inside the front cover and a stamp on the page beside it stating information on ownership.  This was a private library for a dog club not from a public library.  Therefore, it doesn't have the typoical stamps on oage edges or barcodes or stickers on the back.  There are no bent, lose, or torn pages and no markings or writing on pages.  Cover is in excellent condition with no bend or damaged corners or edges and no stickers anywhere.

"Dog training made easy is written for the average dog owner who wants his dog well trained but has no particular interest in making a show dog of his pet.  Out of his long experience as both dog expert and writer, Mr. Duncan has written one of the most practical and useful books in its field.  The book beginsby discussing what breed fits your purse and personality.  Then it helps you to select a pup, with tips on the tricks sometimes worked on the cocksure buyer.  It guides you from the time the pup arrives, car-sick and bewildered, at his new home, until he is a perfect canine gentleman.  Such subjects as: the first meal, the matter of bedding, house-breaking, motor manners, the chronic barker, chicken killers, training for simple Obedience Tests - are discussed in easy, friendly fashion and with the authority of Mr. Duncan's vast experience.
Book is in excellent condition.  Previous owner's name is stamped inside the front cover on the first page that is blank.  Otherwise there are no bent, loose, or torn pages and no marks or writing throughout the book.  Pages are slightly discolored due to age but very nice looking book.  Dust jacket is also in excellent condition.
