A fine Derby figure of a young girl representing Asia from the series The Four Quarters Of The Globe. She stands barefoot on a naturalistic base dressed in exotic robes and holding an incense burner in her right hand. She has a wreath of fruit in her hair and is holding a bunch of berries for the camel that is lying behind as her companion. Patch marks to the base, c.1770 and incised with the model number "200".

Reference: Derby Porcelain Figures, Bradshaw, entry number 200, plate 249.

She measures 13.7cm (5 3/8") high and 8.5cm (3 3/8") by 6cm (2 3/8") wide and deep.

In excellent condition: there has been a repair to the base of the perfume burner and holding thumb. A tight hairline across the camel's front leg and a small chip to the leaf at the back of the posy. No restoration and minimal handling wear.
