This is a highly sought-after 1827 George IV copper penny, an incredibly rare addition to any coin collection. The denomination of this coin is half-penny and it belongs to the era of milled coins from 1816-1837.

All of the pennies minted in 1827 were intended for circulation in Australia not the UK. They were almost all coroded/destroyed in transit due to the salt from the sea and poor storage on the boat. Only a dew exist in mint condition. This makes this coin exceptionally rare.

Heavily corroded, some dings and virdigris throughout.
