This is a really cool 1950's Epiphone Zephyr. The guitar plays and sounds beautiful ! So what we have here I believe is a 1950's Epiphone you can look up the serial number and date it just in case im wrong ? I just went online and typed in the serial number it comes up as made between 1951-1956 . The oval pickup that originally came with the guitar from the early 50's is no longer here and a 1950's original epiphone New York humbucker pickup was added at some point. You can see the previous very small mounting holes in my photo. This guitar has the normal wear and tear of of a loved instrument from so long ago so use my photos as my description also. You can see all the bumps marks and scratches etc in the body. The pickguard is a modern newer replacement which looks really nice. The wood bridge looks original and is totally adjustable up and down however I want to let you know the previous owner glued the bridge down to the body so you can't move it around. The tailpiece and tuners look original and have normal wear and tear to the nickel plate finish some of the plating is gone from the tailpiece. The volume and tone master voicer and tone round trim rings are original but the knobs themselves are reproductions not originals. The wiring harness is from an old guitar but it is not the original harness. Both volume and tone pots are working perfect but wanted to let you know one has an ear broken off of the split pot shaft end where the knob attaches I just stuck a piece of small metal super glued to the remaining shaft tip so The knob set screw has something to hold on too and the shaft is totally strong not going to affect anything. no worrys it wont fall off. Easy to just change out the pot if you desire to do so. But overall this thing sounds really nice the pickup is such a clean bright sounding pickup you will love this guitar ! I dont have a hard case only a soft gig bag case for this. I will bubblewrap and box everything up very well so it arrives safely.Im selling this guitar as-is ! Thanks for checking it out . The neck joint is tight , the action is low and it sounds beautiful !
