For sale is an Omega Geneve, reference 131.019, gold plated with a cal. 601. A classis dress watch design with a sunburst dial finish, gold colored applied markers, and quite thin at only 9mm. Although it has signs of use, it wears very decently and would be the perfect entry-level watch for someone interested in vintage watches.

Condition

The dial has tiny marks and imperfections that are visible under high magnification, but barely to the naked eye. There are a couple of marks near the hands pivots, most probably from a watchmaker while trying to remove the hands. I believe the combination of the dial and hands is original to the watch.

Gold plated case has normal signs of use in the form of scratches, but nothing major. Plating has worn off at the extremities of the lugs, something that's hardly visible to the naked eye. The case profile is correct and the edges are sufficiently sharp, so at the most the case has been lightly polished. Case back has a sort of pitting pattern that I'm not sure of the reason. I can only speculate that it may have been engraved and was polished to remove the engraving.

Movement has been serviced recently and it's keeping great time. On a timegrapher app in a smartphone it's showing +7 s/day and 0.3ms beat error, which is very good for a watch of this age. There are minor marks on the movement, but considering the age it looks very good. Winding is smooth and time setting works as expected.

Additionally, please check the photos carefully and don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
