This is an original press photo. New York City -- monuments -- Brooklyn, New York -- Photo shows a general view of the Dover Patrol Monument, erected in Fort Hamilton Park, as a gift of the British people to the United States -- tribute to the cooperation of the Navies of both countries during the World War. Marines and sailors stand at attention as the granite obelisk is reflected in the rain sodden streets. The monument is a copy of the Dover Patrol Monument on the cliffs of Dover, England, and of another on the opposite shore of the channel at Cape Blanc Nez, France.Photo measures 10 x 8inches. Photo is dated 06-10-1931.
